About The Erasmus Scholarships

First of all, you should know that The Erasmus Program stands for European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students. It’s a European Union student exchange program, designed for students all over the EU who want to study abroad. The program offers different scholarships, depending on various factors.

Another objective the program has is to encourage the cooperation between different universities in Europe.

The scholarship offers institutional and financial support. The university who receive the students will support the taxes and fees and will offer recognition of the student’s credits and exams.

The financial support is not that big, but it is meant to encourage students to participate in the program. It will not cover the transportation and lodging costs, but it is still helpful. The amount of money depends on the country where you go study and the country where you come from.

The time you can spend on an Erasmus program can be from 3 months up to 10 months, but not longer. The study abroad time must end with exams. You should also know that a student can only be selected once for an Erasmus scholarship.

For many European students, the Erasmus Program is a great opportunity to see what is like to live and study abroad. That is why it has become very popular among students. SO popular that it is also the subject of several movies. For most of the students participating in the program, it is indeed a great and unique experience, so it is worth trying.
